I've posted about them before: one man, 2 dogs and their goal to find a cure for canine cancer. For the latest from Pittsburh, click this link.
2 Dogs 2,000 Miles
Here's an update on Luke, the man and his 2 dogs who are walking across the US to raise awareness for canine cancer. I've written about them before as this cause is near and dear to my heart since we lost Sloan our chocolate lab / weimaraner mix to cancer in Dec 08. Luke, Murphy & Hudson are suppose to arrive in Pittsburgh PA on June 30th and they plan to stay for 2 weeks. You can read about them and their journey by clicking on this link: Dogs 'puppy up' in Canine Cancer Walk. Way to go Pittsburgh - they're really rolling out the red carpet for them. I hope they get to meet some of the players from the Steelers!
Don't Leave Your Pet In Your Car
In a post on my blog dated 5/15/09, I wrote about a study I ran across that talked about not leaving your pet in the car during the hot summer months. I dropped in my vet's office yesterday to buy more doggie toothpaste and they have this sign outside their front door. I think basically it's saying you shouldn't ever leave your pet in your car. Much cooler than 50 degrees and it might get too cold!
