the pet sitter on Sunday 1/19

Jay and Chloe - they are just great!  Jay is enjoying chasing the ball around the yard.  Chloe just wants attention.  Jay keeps trying to tell me that every time she comes in the house, she is supposed to get one of those "jerky" type treats.  I keep telling her, not every time, especially when it is time for breakfast or dinner.  She is very persistent! Amy, Oscar and Romeo - Oscar got a little close to Amy when she was eating breakfast this morning and she gave a little "grrr" to let Oscar know she wasn't sharing.  Oscar got the message and left her alone.  They are all doing just fine.  All 3 were in the house this morning when I got there... sleeping in on a cold morning. :)

Harley & Skittles - they were hilarious again this morning with the laser.  Skittles had to follow me upstairs too when I scooped her box.  It is like she is supervising or something!

dog and cat sitting on Saturday 1/18

Harley - hed been chasing the light around pic from yesterday when she was playing with the feather

Harley & Skittles -Today I found the mouse light for the first time.  Honestly, I'm not sure who had more fun: them or me.  Harley is crazy going after it - he kept me very entertained!

Jay and Chloe -I took Jay out several times this morning.  It was cold so we didn't stay outside the whole visit like we typically do.

cute Amy - I love her ears!

Oscar - by far the whitest cat I have ever seen :)

Amy, Oscar and Romeo -  They were all sleeping when I came in this morning.  Amy took a good long stretch as I walked in the door.  I fed her and made certain Oscar and Romeo had plenty of food and they did.

Jay sitting nicely so I could take her cute picture! So sorry... I know she isnt supposed to be on the kitchen table. I did put her down after I snapped this picture of her. I thought she looked very pretty :)

Jay and Chloe - all is well.  I went to your house as my first visit this morning, played with Jay, fed them both and scooped Chloe's box.  Chloe was super affectionate and Jay was super ball-crazy.  Not out of character for either one of them. :)  After I left your house, I went to see a client that has a rabbit.... see post below re: Lesson Learned.  That wasn't at your house, just wanted to be clear.

Harley and Skittles- I will see them around 10am this morning.  Fun, crazy kitten time in my near future!!

LESSON LEARNED #45

You'd think after 5 years into this, this may have happened before now or at least this realization would've occurred to me before now:  Always (ALWAYS!!!!) have a contact number (either the cell phone or the destination phone number) for your clients.  That way, when you walk up to their house and their front door is ajar, you can contact them to hopefully get an idea of what is going on and you won't have to call the police.  Or if you still have to call the police, at least you'll have an idea of what to tell the police.  Lesson Learned the HARD  WAY this morning.  All was well... I am guessing the door just didn't latch when it was closed. **btw - this client has a rabbit that was safe and secure in her cage when I went inside.  No pets escaped thank God.**
