HAPPY BIRTHDAY BUDDY!

Buddy - relaxing on vacation a few weeks ago in Hilton Head 3 years ago today Buddy was rescued from a shelter in eastern NC by Lab Rescue NC.   I wish I knew his story.  I WISH I knew his age.  Seems like he has been 10 for several years. :)  I have a hard time saying he is 11.  Perhaps he should be 10 one more year.  We love you Budster!

PS  Yes, we are having a party later.  He and Sam will each get presents and then homemade doggie ice cream which they both love!

Buddy

Buddy likes to sleep on the pillows. He moves them around to get them just right. I think he thinks theyre just right in this picture!! The view of Buddys face while sprawled out on the pillows. Obviously Ive just woken him up and it looks like he was snoozing pretty good!

Buddy - bless his heart.  He hates going to the vet.  He trembles uncontrollably when he is there.  He has to go today to have surgery to remove a growth on his lower lip that is growing pretty fast.  Poor guy had all of his front teeth pulled several months ago and now lip surgery.  He's going to have a hard time eating for the next few days but I know he'll find away.  He loves meal time and wasn't happy about not getting breakfast this morning.  We'll make it up to him though.  We love you Buddy!

Sam is very happy in this picture!

Buddy & Sam - this is how my boys and I spent today, a really nice Sunday afternoon in April.  Sam is happiest when he is wandering around the backyard.  At 13.5 yrs, he tends to wander a lot so I have to keep my eye on him.   Needless to say, his name gets yelled a lot as he tries to wander out of our backyard.  Buddy I think would prefer to be in the house but as long as I'm outside with him, he'll tolerate it for awhile.  Of course, I bring "his pillow" outside so he can lay on it and not have to lay directly on the grass or the deck.  Spoiled??  Perhaps.  He's 10 and we rescued him 2 years ago.  I figure whatever makes him happy! :)  We love our boys!
