Pet Sitting on Fri 11/27
Gaylord & Finnegan - I'm sure this will not surprise you but usually I have to go outside with the boys otherwise Gaylord just stands at the back door. So, this morning (it is early.... 6am-ish) and I'm standing down in the grass with them. They start jumping around on each other and I'm thinking "great, they're going to play!" They're so funny to watch when they play plus they're using up some energy so I'm all for it. Well it didn't occur to me that perhaps I was a little too close to the wrestling ring and that Gaylord can jump pretty far. Yep, he jump right into my left knee.... if he were a lineback the ref would've thrown a flag! I'm totally fine - I'd not even thought about it again until just now but that goes to show you how tough Finnegan is. Gaylord jumps on him all the time! They'd eaten all their food overnight so I refilled their bowls. 2nd, 3rd & 4th visits - the boys are doing just fine. More playing tonight.... on your bed :) Sweetie - She was super affectionate this morning. I got several kisses on my chin and a couple of hugs from her. (This was after she was so excited to see me she was boxing!) She went outside twice and she ate all of her breakfast while I was there too.
Allie & Tilly - Allie and I played football in the backyard this morning. Basically I kicked the football and she chased after it. It is funny to see her playing and jumping around (dancing, I like to call it!) (For those that don't know Allie, see her picture below in my Thanksgiving Day post.) Allie has a fair amount of girth. Tilly is missing you. She kept jumping up on the counter to get as close to me as she could. I played with her and gave her several rubs. 2nd visit: Allie did some serious dancing tonight. I was laughing at her!
Amy & Romeo - Amy must've been sleeping good this morning. She didn't bark at all when I came in. I fed them both and cleaned out Romeo's box. He was very busy in there yesterday (I'd cleaned it out yesterday morning but it was full again!) 2nd visit: Amy wasnt sleeping now. She was barking and very excited to see me. I grabbed her leash and we went for a walk. I played with Romeo too. 2nd visit: we had a nice walk. She did some sniffing and lots of peeing. Romeo and I did some more fishing!
Jay & Chloe - Jay enjoyed chasing after the ball this morning. The way she plays "soccer" is hilarious. I'd thrown the ball for her some last night too. Your neighbor had their outside light on so the backyard was pretty lit up. They'd both eaten all of their food last night so I refilled their bowls and gave them fresh water. I cleaned out Chloe's box too. 2nd visit: We've got the routine down now - throw the ball, refill the food dish and get fresh water. Oh and wipe off the paws and get some kisses while I'm doing that. Chloe just still wants to be rubbed on!
Buzz - He came running when I came in today. He was ready for his breakfast and I cleaned out his box while he was eating.
Lo & Sprinkles - Lo greeted me when I came in and their bowls were empty so I think he was telling me that he wa hungry. I fed them, gave them fresh water and cleaned out their box. Lo seemed more interested in playing. Sprinkles seemed more interested in eating :)
Basil - You are right... friend for life for rubbing on Basil. He would just roll from side to side so I could give him a good rub down. I gave him a can of food. He still had plenty of dry food in his dish.
